The world is a dangerous place to live, not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it. Albert Einstein

You'd think this article would be generated by fake-yet-funny newsie The Onion, yet this is indeed true true true -> McCain defends Czechoslovakia, which ceased to be a country in the 90's, from the damned dirty Russians today. Good thing McCain's got your back, Czechoslovakia. Now you can stop worrying about being bullied by Mesopotamia.

The New Yorker says they were portraying a satirical look at the Obamas based on the overt or implied terrorist-linked scare tactics mixed in with the campaign when they portrayed the couple on the mag's cover with AK-47's and a terrorist portrait over the mantle
Unfortunately, they ended up portraying the couple tastelessly and offensively, re-inforcing the racial tension and scare tactics that Barack Obama's campaign has so diligently steered away from. What were they thinking?

McCain's planned town-hall meeting stop at woman-led J & L Steel Erectors was anticipated as an opportunity to connect with the largely female audience on women's issues. His prepared speech included such insightful comments as "First of all, good news: women have made enormous progress." and "I'm for equal opportunity in every aspect of our society." And...that's about it. Hey thanks John, but I expect a presidential candidate to get real with me, not skim along the surface in a prepared speech.

From the page: "Now that Hillary Clinton has endorsed Barack Obama, the biggest campaign favor she could do him would be to declare that she does not want to be the Democratic nominee for vice president."
