Thomas Friedman points out the obvious - Americans are facing a national energy crisis (seen the gas pumps lately?), we've identified an obvious solution (aka "clean energy") and Washington is so politics-heavy and lacking in bipartisan leadership that we're flushing our opportunity to stop depending on foreign oil. Bush policy that vetoed children's health insurance coverage ruled unconstitutional.

Congress last year twice passed bills to expand the popular program, and Mr. Bush vetoed both. Vodka giant Absolut sticks foot in mouth with recent Mexican ad showing an "Absolut World" that shows Mexico in control of land including Texas, California that were lost in the 1848 Mexican-American War & fight for TX independence. This ad comes at a time when border relations and immigration debates are building up between the US and Mexico. Absolut apologized for this ad (which has already run it's course in Mexico) as angry Americans threatened boycot.
